It's Easter Sunday today! Jean and I took our first grandson, Little Bee, to the first service at St. James' this morning. And a little later, Anita took her second son, Little Shine -- that is our second grandson -- to the same church. We happily celebrated this very important day, Easter, just as all or most other followers of the Lord Jesus Christ have done today in many very different parts of the world. Alleluia! ...
Then, at about 1:10 p.m., Jean and Little Bee and I arrived at Taichung Airport (台中航空站) to pick up Antony, who was just coming back from Hong Kong for a short vacation. (Meantime, he is expected to go to the diocesan office for a meeting on Monday!) Little Bee was excited to see his dad coming back home, and so was his little brother, Little Shine. In fact, all of us including Anita, Jean and me, have been so pleased to see Antony again, since he started his study at Ming Hua Theological College, Hong Kong. "Welcome home!" we said, plus a loud Alleluia! ...
Alleluia! Alleluia! ... This very day, we are so pleased, so very happy, because we have just celebrated the resurrection of our Lord, because Antony has once again returned home from Hong Kong for a vacation, and because Jean's 60th birthday was celebrated in a wonderful way, in a cheerful atmosphere created by not only us but also our "good neighbors and best friends" -- that is, the Rev. Sam Cheng and his family! (See photos below.)
