本頁照片為 Ms. Catherine Lee 所拍攝，是前天 5 月 24 日我們慶祝「聖靈降臨日」 (Day of Pentecost) 於台中聖雅各堂做禮拜的情形。台灣聖公會賴榮信主教在 Day of Pentecost 這天，為本堂英文部教友 Kelvin Paul 施行「堅振禮 」(Confirmation)。禮拜結束後，Kelvin 的雙親 (Harrison Paul & Nancy Paul) 邀請我們在教堂附近的「八喜膳房」共享午餐。

What a Cute Baby! -- 寶寶滿月啦！

Their visit to us this evening made us especially pleased. Almost one and a half years ago Shunren and Yijia got married, with my wife as "matchmaker in name." Now this young couple has had their first child, a girl baby, so cute, so pretty and attractive!

The little girl is one month old now. According to the local custom/tradition here, the parents should "report" such good news to their matchmaker at this time. And that is why they came and showed the baby to us.

Oh, what a baby girl! What a beautiful little princess! We hope that she is most richly blessed by the Lord, that is, by the Almighty and Merciful God in my faith. And I will pray for all of them, for this family whom my wife and I have a special connection with. May good and beautiful things come to them, one after another! ...

The 60th Anniversary of NNCS (情縈投商一甲子)

南投高商，我曾經服務二十二年的地方，今天慶祝六十週年校慶。我以退休人員身分，返校參與（或見證）這場動人的盛會，心情格外興奮，實非任何筆墨所能形容！

It has been almost eight full years since I retired from my teaching job at National Nantou Commercial School (NNCS). Like many of my former colleagues, I went to NNCS this morning to attend (and "witness") the celebration of its 60th anniversary. How excited I was! -- I don't think you can really imagine how excited I have been this SPECIAL day.

Students' names:  Yutao Hu, Liuying Tian, 

Shuling Fu, Shoumin Jian, and Suyi Yang.

(They graduated from NNCS in 1988.)
