My Private Photo Album (特藏照片)

A few days ago my wife asked for two photographs. She said to me, "Give me two pictures, and I will pass them to Bizhu tomorrow." I was surprised and said, "I've collected 10 beautiful pictures for you..."

The Four Degrees C band (四度C樂團), which is led by Ms. Bizhu Xie, has resumed its regular rehearsals on Wednesdays. They're going to give a special performance at Kuokuang Elementary School on April 30 to celebrate the school's 70th anniversary. They're preparing a new PowerPoint file introducing the band; to make this file, they need more photos of the band members.

There are lots of photos of my wife and the rest of the band on my blog Mookoo's Home. I could easily pick 10 beautiful pictures from there. I already gave my wife what she wanted. So I was a little surprised when she asked me for two more.

"No, no, I'm not asking for more photos of myself, but please give me two photos of you." She continued, "Our bandleader suggested adding your photos to the PowerPoint file. That's a good idea. As she said, if you're with us on April 30, you can take pictures of us when we're on stage!"

I immediately decided to join them for the April 30th event. I'd like to be the band's photographer as before. So I started to look for two personal photos of myself for them to use. Oh, what a shame! It seemed difficult to find suitable "photos of me alone" from my old archives or blog posts. In fact, I had rarely allowed myself to be photographed alone over the years. To be honest, I'd rather be in a "group photo" than be photographed alone!

Now my wife realized that I needed to have more "solo photos." She wanted to take pictures of me herself, to produce more Mookoo portraits. She even encouraged her former classmates to take pictures of me while we and they visited the April-Snow garden (流蘇花園) yesterday. Well, if you're interested, see the photos below, which are their "masterpieces" shared with me and can be regarded as My Private Photo Album.

(The April Snow Garden)

Genju "Liusu Huayuan" lianshu (Facebook) 2017 nian 5 yue de yi pian tiewen, yuanding (the gardener) de lao jia shi zhulin weirao de tujiaocuo siheyuan (a courtyard house made of adobe bricks); qianyuan (front yard) you yi zuo da chitang (big pond), houyuan (backyard) you yi ke bainian mangguoshu (a very old mango tree), ji ke bainian lizhishu (lichee trees) zuoluo zai siheyuan-pang. Xiaji-li, chansheng ciqi-biluo (cicadas singing here and there) . . . 

Yuanding (the gardener) yu 1980 nian likai Taizhong Tanzi jiaxiang (hometown), bei shang qiuxue; yu 2005 nian fan xiang. Zhihou, ta yi zhiwu zhongzi han youmiao lai fuzhi tongnian de ziran shengtai (the natural ecology of his childhood), canzhao-le "lü jianzhu gai'nian" xingjian nongshe, caiyong ziran nongfa yi quebao youji turang shengsheng-buxi, zhongzhi-le lizhi, longyan, yangtao, shuijing bale, mugua, lianwu, fengli, lingmeng, boluomi . . . deng, shu shi zhong guoshu (dozens of different fruit trees), yong lai yinyou niaolei qixi; bingqie zaizhong bai zhong huahui yi xiyin hudie han mifeng lai cai mi (to attract butterflies and bees to gather nectar); hai zhong-le qian yu ke liusushu (千餘棵流蘇樹) yi dadao lühua, jiantan de xiaoguo (以達到綠化、減碳的效果).
