Flying Cow Ranch (飛牛牧場)

#2013-0726

Jean and I haven't taken our grandson, Little Bee, for an outing in several months. Now that our son, Little Bee's father, has already started his new VOCATION (a much better name for his new "job" or "occupation"!) far away in Keelung, Jean and I agree that it be our responsibility to take Little Bee [and his mother] somewhere for sight-seeing every once in a while.

This morning we visited Fei Niu Muchang, literally meaning "Flying Cow Ranch," which is located at 166, Nanhe Li, Tongxiao Zhen, Miaoli County, Taiwan. (飛牛牧場 地址:苗栗縣通霄鎮南和里 166 號) There on the dude ranch we saw, and introduced to our little boy, such animals as rabbits, goats, sheep, and cows. Our grandson was interested in many different things. One of his favorite things to do is to drive a huge tractor! -- Or some sort of truck? (See the photos far below.)

Note: Last July (2012) we visited another beautiful place in Miaoli County. For the pictures we had taken over there, you may click on this link: 勻靜湖 (上) -- There We Really Enjoyed Ourselves -- or this, 勻靜湖 (下) -- There We Really Enjoyed Ourselves.

Adiós, Casey Welch

#2013-0721

Casey Welch will be leaving St. James' Preschool soon. And this is her last Sunday for joining us in the English worship service at St. James'. We know we'll miss her very much after she's back home in the US, because she has been our good friend here in Taichung, Taiwan.

I hope that Casey will be back to Taiwan someday in the future, or that she and some of us will come across somewhere in the world.

Now let's sing a song to her in unison:

  • May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rains, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire! . . .
  • May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go! . . .
  • May you have a world of wishes at your command, God and his angels close at hand, friends and family their love impart, and Irish blessings in your heart! . . .
  • May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light! May good luck pursue you each morning and night! . . .
  • May the sun shine, all day long, everything go right, and nothing wrong! May those you love bring love back to you, and may all the wishes you wish come true! . . .
  • May the songbirds serenade you every step along the way! May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue! And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through! . . .
  • May you have love that never ends, lots of money, and lots of friends! Health be yours, whatever you do, and may God send many blessings to you! . . . .
