December Already!

#2015-1202

I've spent too much time browsing the Internet today. Yes, I plunged into my Facebook world, giving out plenty of "thumbs-up" by clicking the "Like" button. I indulged in dozens of YouTube videos that I found either especially exciting or utterly horrifying. Then I became more serious and, all at once, found myself deeply concerned about those faraway (or perhaps nearby?) parts of the world where darkness and chaos seem to have completely overshadowed light and peace.

This month, December, reminds me to be more mindful of where and when I am. It's the final stretch of 2015, yet also the beginning of the "church year," which started last Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent. The old year is swiftly passing away, while the "new" liturgical year has already arrived. Should I — or should we — continue spending so much time browsing the Internet aimlessly each day? Oh, Lord, may You guide us so that our lives from now on are both meaningful and fulfilling! May the days ahead be filled with hope, and abundant in Love, Peace, and Joy!
