一串紫紅的花，看在我的眼裡，雖然我不屬於「專家／學者／達人」之類，卻也有一份很特殊的感受。那一簇簇從粉紫到紫紅，又是「紫中帶白」又是「白裡透紅」的鈴鐺形狀的花，強烈吸引了我的注意，就在我靠路邊泊車的一瞬間。（附記：當時我與另一半回她的娘家，人車剛抵達大甲，選在一處圍牆邊停車。）
啊！那迷人的花朵，應如何稱呼？其「芳名」有什麼特別來歷（或典故）嗎？還有什麼，是我此時此刻「非知不可」的？----- Well, we call it "Zhangshi Ziwei" (張氏紫葳) or "Zi Ling Teng" (紫鈴藤, "vine of purple bells") in Chinese because its flowers are usually in purple (紫色). The Wikipedia tells me that one of its English names is "Garlic Vine" (that is, 蒜香藤) because ... There must be some reasons for this interesting name!
