Another Visit to Mofa Cafe

It's my third (or 2nd?) visit to Mofa Cafe (魔法咖啡). This time I'm here together with Mom, with my first and second sisters -- and Yi-Te, my 2nd sister's 2nd son, a handsome young man!

On the "228-Remembrance Day" (二二八紀念日) this year, we've just wanted to go somewhere for a drive in a car. And Mofa Cafe, being small and beautiful, has become our first choice -- because it's not too far from our home at the Stone-Gate village (石門), in Guoxing, and because our Mom also loves to come here with us!

A Personal Note: From 20th to 22nd Jean and I stayed at St. John's Cathedral, Taipei, helping take care of our grandchildren; on the third day (Feb. 22) we were all present at the Consecration and Installation... And now I've just received an email from Ms. Catherine Lee sharing with us the following photos. Thank you so much, Catherine, for these good pictures that will always remind me of the special moments we spent at the cathedral last Saturday.

Up to the Peak (登高望遠）

We went up to the peak of the mountain where there is a "lookout" as well as a small temple called "Jianhou Tudigong Miao" (尖後土地公廟). We were not very interested in the temple (of "Earth God"), but attracted to the viewing platform there.

It took us about one and a half hours to get to our destination: the 360-degree viewing platform (秘境觀景台). And after staying there for a while, we took another 1.5 hours to get back home. Above all, this was our grandson James' first trip to that scenic spot!
