Yesterday was the first day of 2026. As usual, I took an afternoon walk along Meilun Creek. This time, my thoughts wandered.
I thought of many things: my own past; the many people connected to my life; the places I have been to—and those I long to visit again; the countless events that happened long ago, are still unfolding, or may yet happen in the future. So many things—uncountable, innumerable, untold, and unpredictable. At the same time, I also found myself thinking about my future, or perhaps our future.
Before anything else, let me wish my dear readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the Lord bless you all with a year that is graceful, meaningful, and richly fulfilled—2026.
