It was very sad that our dearest friend Miss Linda Manmei Lee passed away on Monday, May 14, because of a serious motorbike accident which had happened to her (and her husband) during the previous week. Since then Jean and I have been very . . . . (Well, it's really hard to find a word to fill in here which can precisely describe our mixed feelings!)
Confusion! Sadness! Sense of powerlessness! -- All of these could be the "state of our mind" every time we thought of the fact that Manmei Lee, one of our best sisters at the Church, had already parted from us, from this earthly world!
This morning Jean and I attended the cremation that was held at Taichung Crematorium. Like other brothers and sisters in Christ, we kept praying to the Lord. We earnestly prayed for Manmei and for her family -- especially for Mr. Hu (Manmei's husband), who, badly injured in the same accident, was still too weak to come and attend the cremation. And we also prayed for ourselves, hoping that we will live our future days on earth without losing any of our Faith, Hope, and Love!
Oh, Lord God, you know how much we'll miss our deceased friend. We do need your comfort and your help, O Lord. May you surround us and fill us with the Holy Spirit, who is from (and always with) you God the Father and your only Son our Savior Jesus Christ!
