From Oct. 23 through Oct. 25, I had a wonderful time when vacationing in Kending (in southern Taiwan) together with my wife, my mother-in-law, and some of our good friends.
These friends of ours, including Grace Chang, Bizhu Xie, Liyun You, and Liqing Xu, are "music lovers". Bizhu, Liyun, Liqing, and my wife are members of The Four Degrees C, while Grace is regarded as the best Adviser of the band. Besides the same interest in music, they have such similar personalities that made them the best jiemei-tao (姊妹淘), which means something like "bosom friends" or "sisters of intimate bond" in English.
In the past few years, when my wife and her jiemei-tao went on vacation to Kending in the fall, none of their relatives (or family members) was "allowed" to go with them. But this year the situation changed a little bit. My mother-in-law and I were "welcome" to join them -- Oh, how happy (and lucky) I am to have joined such a special and relaxing trip!
