As planned, the four of us, including James and John, visited the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village in Yuchi, Nantou County, again today.
We began our visit in the park’s beautiful European Garden, taking pictures of the Roman fountain and other attractions and riding the miniature train. (Watch the video below.)
Next, we took the cable car up to the upper station, where visitors can either transfer to another cable car heading to Sun Moon Lake or, as we did, get off and walk downhill through the Aboriginal Village Park. James, four years older than John, seemed more interested in observing aboriginal traditions on this trip than before!
Finally, the two brothers spent a lot of time at Amusement Isle, enjoying thrilling rides such as the Wild Raft Ride (大漩渦). They excitedly told Jean and me that they had ridden it six times!
(For more photos, including the totem poles, blowpipe shooting, and the Spanish Coast, please see the next page, Part Two.)
