The Water-Fetching Trail (挑水古道)

Lucky-7 is a special group of seven “good friends,” including Jean and me, as well as Ms. Grace Chang. The other two couples are Lao Zhan and his wife, Xiuzhen, and A-Chang-Ge and his wife, Liqing.

Jean and I had not seen three members of the group—Grace, A-Chang-Ge, and Liqing—for at least a year and a half. We missed them very much and had been hoping that we could all get together again soon. So, when Lao Zhan suggested that we go for a walk along the Water-Fetching Trail (挑水古道), we gladly agreed, saying:

“This hiking trip should have taken place two months earlier. When we returned from Hualien in July, we had already started thinking about getting Lucky-7 together for a reunion.”

Oh, how wonderful it was to see that wish come true this very morning—like a good dream finally fulfilled! (See the photos below.)
