Little Bee's Second Day (with 10 pictures)

#2010-1019

Little Bee's grandmother (i.e. my wife) wanted me to take more pictures of him. She says that our "xiao baobei" (小寶貝; dearest babe) is so cute and lovely, and I totally agree.

Including his young parents (my son and his wife), we are all trying our best to take good care of this newborn baby. Well, now he's only two days old, so I always kept the photoflash off when I took pictures of him with my camera.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all evermore!

Little Bee's First Day (with 10 pictures)

#2010-1018

This is Little Bee's first day. He was born this morning at 4:36 a.m. to be my first grandson. Ah! How cute the little boy is! How lovely he is, could you just imagine?

To celebrate his coming to my family, and to this world, I've taken quite a number of pictures of him with my Nikon D80 (digital camera). What's more, I can't wait to share with you some of those pictures I took this evening -- about 15 hours after he was born.

(Please forgive me if I have violated the right of portraiture -- I haven't discussed with my son or his wife whether it is appropriate to put the following pictures onto my blog . . . )

Small Is Beautiful: St. James' English Congregation

#2010-1017

Here are some pictures that I took on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010. You'll see in these pictures that we -- part of the English-speaking congregation -- were having a happy FELLOWSHIP time after service at St. James'.

----- Written on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 by Mookoo Liang for his first grandson, Little Bee, who will probably be born very soon in the following week as the doctor predicts. "Little Bee" (小蜜蜂) is a nick name for the baby, whose real name will be Liang Yi-Feng (梁益丰), because the last character of the nick name (蜂) and that of the real name (丰) are homophones.

春秋自作工;

----- by Mookoo Liang, who composed this short poem in the particular style "Five-Character Quatrain" on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, as he was very impressed by a beautiful valley that he "stumbled across"[see pictures below] while he and his wife were hiking along the Bird-Watching trail in Xitou Nature Education Area, in Nantou County. This poem and the attached pictures are part of Mookoo's blog-work entitled "溪頭剪影 (登山賞鳥至幽谷)," which has been posted on Oct. 12, 2010.

秋來葉未黃;

樹老春心在,秋來葉未黃;
