[English] We hadn't visited Xitou for three and a half months. Were we getting much weaker because we hadn't hiked in this mountainous area for so long? . . . This morning Jean and I suddenly had an idea: It would be very good for us to go to Xitou again. Reason one: we could test ourselves to see if we were physically weak at the time. Reason two: we could test our new car, Toyota RAV-4, to see if it is a good RV.

[English] Anyway, we were able to overcome the very steep Bird-Watching Tail (though we walked rather slowly). And, yes, our new car was easily driven on the bumpy roads up and down the mountains. It is a wonderful car indeed. I suppose that Jean and I should come and hike in Xitou Forest Recreation Area more often from now on -- She agrees.
