#2011-0429
We are going to a wedding party held in Kaohsiung tomorrow -- the wedding of the daughter of our former classmate Mr. Weng Liming.
On the way down south, we enjoyed ourselves doing some sightseeing such as Xiluo Bridge (locally spelled as Siluo Bridge, see the photo on the right and the first three photos below) and the salt fields (that can be seen from part of West Coast Expressway, see the 4th photo below). And, later in the afternoon, we spent time visiting some traditional old streets in Tainan, where we ate something special and wonderful (as the 5th and 6th photos below indicate). Another of our former classmate Mr. Yang Zhenli, a recently retired principal of the elementary school, led us around those old streets, a particular place where various types of
Sword-lions are exhibited, the school he used to work at, and finally . . . his own dwelling place!
Oh, Mr. Yang! We thank you for your help, and we really admire your expertise. You are indeed one of the most talented tour guides.
