Rev. Steve Maina Visits St. James'

#2011-0405

Yesterday The Rev. Steve Maina, CMS New Zealand National Director, came and visited St. James'. Miss Catherine Lee came together with him from Taipei so that she could act as a "tour guide" and interpreter.

Our priest (pastor) Rev. Philip Lin and Ms. Youmei Chang (chairperson, St. James' Language Institute) accompanied the visitors all the time while they were here at St. James'. And my wife and I came to offer some help as well.

My wife and I picked Rev. Steve and Miss Catherine up at theTaichung HSR station. Then, hosted by Rev. Philip, we (six persons) had a wonderful lunch together at a restaurant near the church. We discussed lots of things during lunch, and obviously we communicated very well.

After lunch we continued our opinion exchanges when Rev. Steve was "exploring" St. James' in person. As far as I understood, the purpose of Rev. Steve's visit was to check out the situation at St. James' and see whether there were possiblilities here for cooperation with CMS NZ, especially for a missionary who would be also an English teacher. May the Lord bless all the good and beautiful things that we have had in our heart and mind, especially for the better development of St. James' and that of CMS NZ!
