Earlier this year Grandma had bought for the two brothers (Shine and Bee) four toy vehicles about the same size as this police car: an excavator (= digger), a bulldozer, an aerial work platform, and an aerial ladder fire-fighting truck. She said the excavator and the bulldozer belong to Shine while the other two belong to Bee; but as she always suggested, they should be able to share their toy vehicles with each other, especially when they're playing together.
Later on, Shine called Grandma from Taipei saying that his excavator was broken in an "accident." He asked Grandma to buy him another toy car so that he still has two good cars to play with. But Grandma told him it would be unfair to his (elder) brother if she gave him an extra one. "You should be more careful," Grandma and Grandpa (that's me!) always taught something in the right time!
But Shine kept asking his grandma; he even pleaded with her in a "childlike" manner, again and again. Finally, he won; my wife bought him a police car, as he expected.
And now she's planning to buy a "very interesting map" for Little Bee, elder brother of Little Shine.

Ask, Seek, Knock
Jesus said, "Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock." (Matthew 7:7-8)
Here are more touching words from the Lord: "Would any of you who are fathers give your son a stone when he asks for bread? Or would you give him a snake when he asks for a fish? As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" (Matthew 7:9-11)
The Golden Rule
"Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets." (Matthew 7:12)
