A Special Present for the Senior!

This year's Chong Yang Festival (also known as Double Ninth Festival) falls on the coming Thursday, October 14...

(Jean and I have decided to return to Dajia to be with her mother on that day.)

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic our church canceled the Double Ninth celebration party for its "senior members" this year; instead, the Rev. Lily had a special present prepared for each of us who are over 65. She distributed the Double Ninth gifts right after the Eucharist service was over.

We know that the Double Ninth is not a Christian festival; however, all who have received the present (i.e. dried fish floss) must have felt much honored -- just because they're OLD ENOUGH. Hahaha!
