Today is the first Sunday after Pentecost. The first Sunday after Pentecost is also known as Trinity Sunday in our church. (According to the English Wikipedia, Trinity Sunday is on the Day of Pentecost in Eastern Christianity!)
Trinity Sunday celebrates the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, the three Persons of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Today, to celebrate the Trinity Sunday, we've had Holy Eucharist with the Rev. Lily Chang as celebrant and preacher -- but Rev. Lily saved a bit of her preaching time for Shawn Wang (王彥軒), who acted as LEM today, to share what he'd learned about the Trinity and what he'd experienced here at St. James' in the past nine or ten months.
Shawn is one of our diocesan seminarians. He's studying at the Trinity School for Christian Ministry (TSCM, 三一書院). As the diocese announced, Shawn will be moving to St. Luke's Church in Hualien, where he will serve from July 1st to December 31st. -- May the Lord bless him always! Yes, we all wish him all the best in his future life and work in Eastern Taiwan!
