復活節快樂（之三）：The English Congregation at St. James'

Following are pictures I took on the morning of the Easter Day (Sunday, April 24, 2011), when a little more people came to the English-speaking service at St. James' than usual. As you can see from the photos below, everybody was really happy sharing something with each other during the fellowship or coffee time after the service.

以下照片攝於四月廿四日---今年的復活節---的上午。聖雅各堂英文部是個「小而美」的團體（或稱團契），平常來做主日崇拜的人並不多，今天適逢「救主復活日」總算多了幾位初次見面的外國朋友。禮拜後，大夥兒在樓下交誼室及教室，高高興興地聊天、喝咖啡，享受著某種「重生」（或重新開始）的喜悅！

復活節快樂（之二）： Little Bee Comes to Church

Qunian de Fuhuo Jie zai 4 yue 4 ri; jinnian de Fuhuo Jie que shi jintian -- 4 yue 24 ri. Fuhuo Jie de rizi ruhe jueding ne? Daan shi: Fuhuo Jie ding zai mei nian chunfen yueyuan zhi hou di yige xingqi ri (復活節定在每年春分月圓之後第一個星期日). Zhisuoyi ding zai zhe yi tian, shi yinwei chunfen (春分) zhi hou, bei banqiu bian kaishi richang-yeduan (日長夜短) -- guangming da guo heian, er yueyuan de shihou, budan rijian chongman guangming, jiu lian qihei de yewan ye bei guanghui (yueguang) zhaoyao.

Zhongsuozhouzhi, Fuhuo Jie shi Jidutu yi nian dangzhong zui zhongyao de jieri zhi yi. Women Jidutu renwei, Fuhuo Jie xiangzheng chongsheng yu xiwang (復活節象徵重生與希望), nai jinian Yesu Jidu yu gongyuan 33 nian bei dingsi hou di san tian fuhuo de shijian. Xiangguande jizai zai Shenjing zhong de: (1) Matai Fuyin, 28 zhang 8-20 jie, (2) Make Fuyin, 16 zhang 9-20 jie, (3) Lujia Fuyin, 24 zhang 13-49 jie, (4) Yuehan Fuyin, 20 zhang 11 jie dao 21 zhang 25 jie, (5) Shitu Xingzhuan, 1 zhang 1-11 jie, (6) Gelinduo Qian Shu, 15 zhang 3-9 jie.

Youguan Fuhuo Jie de shenxue yiyi huoxu bingfei yibanren suo neng lijie; danshi, women xin'ai de Xiao Mifeng zuowan shouxi chengwei Jidutu (小蜜蜂昨晚受洗 ...), jintian yizao jiu dao jiaotang zuo libai, dique shi women quanjiaren zui xingfen, zui kuaile de yijian da shi a!

復活節快樂（之一）： Happy Easter, Little Bee!

Little Bee was baptized last night. His parents (our son and his wife) as well as my wife and I were so very happy about that. We were (and really are) most grateful to the Lord for giving us such a lovely boy. Now that the little boy, being six months old, has officially become a member of the Church, let us all continually love and guide him, just as the Lord Jesus Christ has constantly loved us so much.

This morning we took Little Bee to church to celebrate the Easter Day, the most important annual religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. This was Little Bee's third time to be at St. James' Church, in Taichung. We happily said to him, "Happy Easter, Little Bee!" -- Oh, yes! Happy Easter Day to you, my first grandson!

Little Bee Is Baptized (小蜜蜂受洗)

小蜜蜂在爸爸、媽媽、以及阿公阿嬤親自帶領之下，今天（2011年4月23日）在台中聖雅各堂接受聖洗禮。今天晚上是「主復活大守夜」(The Great Vigil of Easter)。今晚的禮拜，七點三十分開始，總共包含了四個部分：(1) 光的禮儀---點燃復活燭，(2) 經課禮儀---聖言禮儀，(3) 基督徒入門禮---聖洗禮，(4) 感恩聖禮---聖餐禮。禮拜之後，大家移步到樓下享用教堂「婦女會」所預備的豐盛茶點。可以說，這是一年當中，最令人期待，且充滿盼望的夜晚，我們的小蜜蜂就在今夜受洗成為基督徒了！

My Good Friends (咫尺天涯今再見)

My former colleague Qiuju, whom I had not seen for a long time, suddenly came and visited me today at noon. She had just attended a particular meeting at the Central Region Office of the Ministry of Education, which is located near my house in Wufeng. As soon as the meeting ended at twelve, she came . . . together with her husband and their third child, who directly came from their house to meet her and me on time!

I was so excited and happy to meet them . . . and so was my wife, as I can see. About three and a half years ago (shortly after my retirement from Toushang) my wife and I had joined them in an exciting tour to Korea. We and they had indeed created lots of happy memories in common. My wife likes Qiuju (and her husband) very much, and I do too, because in our eye Qiuju has been a very good teacher (and her husband, a gentle and nice husband). And they have three children (named Chenjia, Chenxuan, and Chenxi respectively) -- By our standards, they are really a model couple. I hope that I can see (and chat with) them more frequently in the future!
