跆拳道表演 (The Taekwondo Performance)

This semester my grandson James (or Little Bee) chose Taekwondo as one of his extracurricular activities. Now that he and his teammates had practiced this Korean martial art together for a couple of months, they were all expected to give a performance in the school hall before the end of the semester. Look! The one wearing the white uniform who was in the central front of the stage is my Little James!

Prayer for the President of the Republic of China and all in Civil Authority
O Lord our Governor, whose glory is in all the world: We commend this nation to your merciful care, that, being guided by your Providence, we may dwell secure in your peace. Grant to the President of the Republic of China, the Governor of this country, and to all in authority, wisdom and strength to know and to do your will. Fill them with the love of truth and righteousness, and make them ever mindful of their calling to serve this people in your fear; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.

喜見花開

那天 ---- 根據相片檔的內容資料，那是去年 11 月 13 日 ---- 我好驚喜，發現台北「聖約翰座堂」的茶樹開花了，就用手機拍下這三張照片 (See the first three photos)。
今天，我再次驚訝，發現住家附近「阿罩霧公園」裡，有一棵我不知名稱的樹，好像特別愛開花，竟然又開了好多好多 (See the photos following the first three)。
重點是，明天我和老婆又要北上，到台北去...........；總之，去看兒孫，就好比（或更勝於）瞥見那正要綻放的，令人驚嘆的一朵朵 flowers。

Thanks and Prayer, 2020

At the very beginning of 2020, I'd like to give my sincere thanks to the Lord, who has granted me so much in my life. For example:
(1) My good friends including many of my former schoolmates, my former colleagues, and those who are close to me at present;
(2) My loving parents and parents-in-law (I've recently visited my two mama's again!) -- Though my father and my father-in-law passed away several years ago, I still think of them often;
(3) My own family: my better half Jean, my son Antony and his wife Anita, and my grandchildren Little Bee and Little Shine;
(4) And also other people who have been related to us one way or another!
May the Lord bless them (and you!) so that everybody will be even more healthy, wealthy, and happy in this year, 2020. Amen.
