What I'd like to share in this evening's reading group, also known as St. James' Tuesday Book Club (聖雅各堂 週二讀書會), is some thoughts on the Holy Trinity.
To ensure my points are easy for the other members of the group to understand, I have prepared a special PowerPoint presentation that highlights the main ideas discussed in the third chapter of The Magnificent Story: Uncovering a Gospel of Beauty, Goodness & Truth (深邃又美麗的福音) by James Bryan Smith (司傑恩).
The presentation is divided into three sections:
- Appreciation of the icon The Trinity (三一聖像) created by Andrei Rublev (安德烈.魯布列夫);
- Free associations about the term "Trinity" (關於 "三位一體" 的自由聯想);
- Various illustrations of the Trinity (三位一體的比喻/比擬). In this final section, I included what I believe is the best diagram of the Trinity I have ever seen, called "The Shield of the Trinity," which I sourced from English Wikipedia and referred to as "三位一體標準示意圖" in my PowerPoint.
I hope my presentation on the Holy Trinity will inspire greater interest and foster a deeper understanding among the Book Club members who attend this evening's discussion. I am praying for myself and others—may the Lord continue to bless and guide us in our study! Thanks and praise be to God!
