To celebrate the Day of Pentecost, we came to Puli this morning and had a wonderful Morning Prayer at T.K. Herb Farm, which is very close to Puli Veterans Hospital. Totally 26 people (including Anita my daughter-in-law and Little Bee my grandson) attended this special "outing" as a type of celebration.
No clergy came along with us this morning -- Rev. David Chee is still in Singapore and, as scheduled, Bishop John Chien is leaving for the United State today! Fortunately, we have had a three-person laity committee [with Hans as our leader, Warren as a preacher, and me as well as Warren as two LEM's] since January and this executive committee helps carry on the English-speaking worship services on Sundays.
The Day of Pentecost is the third important Christian feast/festival of the year. So, a couple of weeks ago, we had discussed how we were going to celebrate it. Now we have successfully carried out what we planned to do. To make a long story short, we all had a wonderful time this morning, singing hymns, reading and praying, having a time for silent meditation, and finally making pizza ourselves . . . pizza being part of our vegetarian lunch for today!
