What was my motivation for going to Beitun District with Jean, to fetch the soy sauce she ordered? or to visit our old friends?
She would possibly say, "For both! And it's good for both of us to go together ..." Yes, I'm always pleased to accompany her traveling around. But this morning I was quite sure that it meant more to me to visit Mr. and Mrs. Huang, our mutual friends whom I hadn't seen for a long time, than to fetch the soy sauce which my wife had recently ordered.
And, to my surprise, I had a chance to see Stand Huang, son of Mr. Youfu Huang, and to meet Yan Jian, who's another former classmate of Jean's.
