天作之合、永浴愛河
The bridegroom is the first son of my second sister. He and the bride (now his "better half") have been working at the same company, where they fell in love soon after they knew each other. In the fullness of time, the young couple got engaged last month in the presence of their relatives and good friends, including Jean and me.
Jean had been invited to be their "match-maker" (in name only); but as far as I could see, she did a very good job at both their engagement and their wedding. And I, the groom's "da jiujiu" (big uncle, or mother's first brother), am especially pleased to have come to their wedding party as well.
I'd like to pray for the newly-married couple: May God bless Jueyu and Huiru all the days and nights from now on! ... May they two always be in love! (= 永浴愛河) ... May their happiness increase with age! (= 白頭偕老) ...
