An Outing: 向山 > 月牙灣 > 水里 > 玄奘寺

Jean and I enjoyed an outing on our son's birthday (November 24th). Since he's far away in Hualien, we celebrated his birthday in advance during our visit there.

Firstly, we visited the Xiangshan Tourist Center (向山遊客中心) at Sun Moon Lake. Afterward, we spent a significant amount of time at a charming spot by the lake known as "Yueya Wan" (月牙灣, or Crescent Bay). It was our first visit to this place, and we took numerous pictures to capture the moment.

Following our time at Yueya Wan, our original plan was to proceed to Xuanzang Temple (玄奘寺) by taking a different route. However, we somewhat lost our way and ended up in Shuili (水里) instead. Seizing the opportunity, we decided to have a simple lunch at a local convenience store. Eventually, we made our way back to Sun Moon Lake, where we spent an additional one or two hours at Xuanzang Temple.
