Today is Advent Sunday, marking the beginning of the liturgical year (教會年曆) and the start of the Advent season (降臨節期). During the English service, we lighted the first purple candle on our Advent wreath, a task graciously performed by a little girl named Elodie Simmons.
Our rector, the Rev. Lily Chang, extended an invitation to Mr. Tim Pan (潘天佑院長), Tina's brother, to deliver the sermon on this important Sunday. Tim is currently in charge of the Trinity School for Christian Ministry (TSCM, 台灣聖公會三一書院) in our diocese. His sermon today resonated deeply with me. Thank you, Tim.
