A Half-Day Leisure!

#2022-0123

Thanks to the Lord for our good friend Ms. Grace Chang had more "free time" today than usual, so Jean and I could naturally invite her to our home after attending the Sunday service at St. James' Church.

We then went to Walker Cafe (行者咖啡) and the Glutinous Rice Bridge (糯米橋) in my hometown Guoxing in the afternoon. The pleasant trip reminded me of the well-known poetic line in Chinese: "偷得浮生半日閒" -- which literally means "[I or We or Someone else have (or has) stolen a half-day leisure."

Yes, we've been given a half-day leisure... (See photos.)

See also the Chinese proverb below, as well as the original Chinese poem from which the second half of the proverb is taken:

忽聞春盡強登山;
