駱駝同學會(下)-- The Annual Camels Reunion, Day 2

#2012-0130B

Jean and I have just attended a 2-day "reunion" somewhere in Yunlin County. It is referred to as The Camel Class Reunion because when I was studying at Chiayi Teachers Junior College (CTJC) several decades ago, "Camels" was an alternative given name for my home class and my classmates and I called ourselves "Camel Brothers."

[Note: In those years single-sex education was a common practice in Taiwan as in many other parts of the world; male and female students were usually put into different classes in middle school, and junior college.]

Since graduation from CTJC we the Camel Brothers have cherished our friendship so much that we have always tried to meet once a year at least. That is, if we could not meet more often, this annual reunion would definitely be a very good opportunity for us to get together.

Now, we would even like to take our spouses to the Camels reunions, hoping that they (so-called Camel Sisters) can make friends with each other, and with us (Camel Brothers) attending the meetings. In this way they will help set up an Extended Camel Group and truly enjoy being part of it. (That's why I took Jean to this class reunion, as well.)

Following are photos that I took this morning -- the 2nd day of the annual reunion: We first walked upward along the Huashan Coffee Trail (華山咖啡步道) and then downward along the Yunlin Literary Trail (雲林文學步道). Finally, we came to Moor Garden (摩爾花園) for lunch.
